ReB8 Connections (Optional)
ReB8 is an optional feature. After a session, the people who were checked in can browse who else was there and quietly express interest. If two people are both interested in each other, they’re connected and given each other’s contact info. If not, neither ever finds out the other looked. It is completely private unless it’s mutual.
Each session stays open for 30 days after it ends. Connections stay in ReB8 for good.
Turning it on for an event
Section titled “Turning it on for an event”When creating or editing an event, fill in the ReB8 Slug field, a short code like br-apr24. It auto-suggests one based on your club and the event date. Leave it blank and ReB8 won’t be active for that event. Members never see the slug: everyone uses one ReB8 address for the whole club.
One QR code for the whole club
Section titled “One QR code for the whole club”Print one ReB8 QR code and leave it up. From any event’s action menu, choose Download ReB8 QR (club). It points at your club’s ReB8 address, not at one event, so you never need to swap it.
What your attendees do
Section titled “What your attendees do”- Scan the club’s QR code, or use the link in the post-event email
- Sign in with their email and birthday. This confirms they’ve been to a session
- Land on Your Sessions, a list of every session they were checked in at (across all clubs)
- Make a profile once: a display name, a memory jogger, an age range, and one way to be contacted if there’s a match. A photo is optional
- Open a session and browse the others who were there. Each card can show the tag number they had at that event
- Tap Interested in connecting on anyone they’d like to hear from
- If it’s mutual, both people see each other’s contact info. It also appears on their Connected page
Members can sign in from the Bro Portal too: the portal’s ReB8 pages have an Open ReB8 button that signs them in without email and birthday.
Tag numbers
Section titled “Tag numbers”If your club hands out numbered tags, turn on Settings → Attendance → Tag Numbers. Check-in then asks for the number, and it shows on that person’s ReB8 card. See Check-In at the Door.
Missed Connections
Section titled “Missed Connections”Attendees can post a short anonymous note about someone they noticed and didn’t get to meet, for others from that session to see. You can review every post, and who wrote it, under Missed Connections in the sidebar or on the event page, and remove anything inappropriate.
Emails
Section titled “Emails”- Instant match email: when a match forms, the person who didn’t just tap gets an email (if they turned that on). It never includes a name or contact details.
- Post-event email: includes a button to open ReB8.
- Closing reminder: about a week before a session closes, people who were checked in and haven’t tapped anyone get one reminder.
What you can see and do as an admin
Section titled “What you can see and do as an admin”- The ReB8 row on the event page shows how many members signed in, set up profiles, made selections and connected.
- On a member’s page, Admin tab, you can remove their ReB8 photo.
- The event page lists Missed Connections posts and who wrote them, with a Remove button.
Setup requirements
Section titled “Setup requirements”- ReB8 uses your club’s colors and logo, which your platform operator sets up.
- Your club’s own ReB8 web address is a one-time setup your platform operator handles.
